Silverstone International Circuit, the famed “Home of British Motorsport, ” began life as a World War II airfield before hosting its first race in 1948 and the inaugural Formula One World Championship Grand Prix in 1950. Its fast, flowing layout and rich heritage have made it a landmark for global motorsport ever since. Endurance racing at Silverstone has a proud history.
